Running For Andy and More Birthdays

For Susan von Arx, the date of the Chicago Marathon falls on her birthday, and as she turns 54 she is reminded that her brother Andy's life was cut short at 52 because of multiple myeloma. Andy passed away on July 7, 2008. He never got the chance to meet his grandchildren, Natalie and Max, nor did he get to enjoy his retirement with his wife Cindy. By running the marathon, Susan is supporting research for cures that could help other myeloma patients take back years of their lives and have more birthdays.
